Oma’s Café + Wine brings a unique all-day hospitality experience to the heart of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. Designed to serve the community from morning through evening, the concept seamlessly blends the atmosphere of a neighborhood coffee shop with the sophistication of a wine bar and market. During the day, guests can enjoy freshly brewed coffee, handcrafted espresso beverages, and a selection of grab-and-go sandwiches and snacks. As the day winds down, the café transforms into a welcoming destination where patrons can relax with wine, craft beer, and thoughtfully curated market offerings.
The interior design reflects the dual nature of the space, balancing modern aesthetics with inviting warmth. Floating wood-slat ceilings create visual interest and add natural texture throughout the café, while polished epoxy flooring and exposed concrete elements provide a contemporary industrial character. The result is a comfortable and stylish environment that feels equally suited for a morning coffee meeting, an afternoon work session, or an evening gathering with friends.
Oma’s Café + Wine was delivered through a collaborative design-build partnership between Summit Hospitality Group, Gontram Architecture, and Ten Penny Construction. By combining design and construction services under a unified team, the project moved efficiently from concept to completion while maintaining the owner’s vision throughout the process. The finished space offers downtown Raleigh residents and visitors a distinctive destination where great coffee, exceptional wine, and thoughtful design come together to create a memorable experience.
