Many around the Triangle area have been familiar with Goodberry’s Frozen Custard for decades, but now Gontram Architecture and Ten Penny Construction have teamed up to bring Goodberry’s to the town of Southern Pines, NC. Goodberry’s has nine other locations in North Carolina (and even three in Australia), but Southern Pines has quickly realized what they’ve been missing out on since the location opened in late 2024.

The first Goodberry’s location built in 1988, the Southern Pines store brings a few modern elements to the Goodberry’s brand without changing the delicious custard that keeps customers coming back. The interior dining area, which is not present in the majority of their existing locations, was a hit with customers during the cold months. As it gets warmer, though, the spacious patio area is the place to be, even complete with a fountain that many Goodberry’s fanatics have almost grown accustomed to.
